Rafting Nestos River
The Nestos is one of the biggest rivers in Greece and ends across from Thasos Island in the Thracian Sea. On one side up to a thousand meters high rock, on the other hand, wide sandbars and forests with lush vegetation.
The gorge of Nestos is home to many rare animals and plants. Iridescent dragonflies and butterflies inhabit the shore. From the green forests, you can hear the song of many birds. Even wild horses live here, and on some rocks grow flowers that are found only in the gorge of Nestos.

At the base station in Paranesti you will be expected of the experienced guides. Once you have received the necessary equipment, it goes with car, jeep or minivan to the starting point of this unique rafting trip.
After an introduction to the techniques of rafting the conquest of the river between the impressive cliffs begin.
The adrenaline shoots up while the river on an impressive volume of foamed water meanders through the narrow gorge and takes you on his way to the Nestos Delta.
Halfway at one of the natural beaches, you have the opportunity to swim in the cool waters of the river (in summer) and continue to the final stage to the destination of this tour, the village Paranesti. By car, jeep or minibus it goes back to the base station.
