Whilst quietly but centrally located in the old part of town Kavala offers the hotel Imaret a wonderful view over Kavala and the sea. Pasha Mohamed Ali built the mosque in 1813 and in later years he endowed it with Koran school as well. Many scenes of "Topkapi" where filmed there. Very easy to access just a short stroll from restaurants, bars and shops.
