Day 1 – Arrival and Welcome

• Arrival at Thessaloniki or Kavala Airport.

• Transfer to the port of Keramoti:

  • From Thessaloniki Airport: approx. 3 hours.

  • From Kavala Airport: approx. 15 minutes.

• Ferry crossing to the port of Thasos (approx. 40 minutes).

• Arrival in Thasos and transfer to Chryssi Ammoudia.

• Check-in at the accommodation and time to relax.

• First Meeting:

  • Welcome by the tour guide.

  • Introduction to the itinerary for the following days.

Day 2 – Exploring the Island of Thasos: Culture, History & Nature

• Ancient Agora & Aliki Quarries – Walk along the path of the famous Thasos marble, whose excavations reveal its long history.

• Monastery of Archangel Michael – A monastery built in a unique location with breathtaking views and spiritual tranquility.

• Theologos – A traditional mountain village with picturesque alleys and architecture reminiscent of the era of pirates.

• Kostas Lovoulos’ Workshop – Visit the studio of the renowned artist, featuring unique stone sculptures made from Thasos' famous white marble.

• Limenas – The island's capital, offering free time to enjoy fresh fish in traditional taverns or explore the ancient ruins at the old harbor.

Day 3 – Jeep Safari: Adventure in the Nature of Thasos

• Maries Reservoir & Waterfalls – A short yet fascinating tour to a small natural paradise with crystal-clear water and waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery.

• Marble Quarry – Visit one of Thasos' famous quarries, where the dazzling white marble forms an impressive backdrop.

• Ipsario (1,206 m) – The highest mountain on the island, offering a stunning panoramic view of Thasos' endless natural beauty.

• Mountain Village Kastro – Stroll through the cobbled streets of this traditional village, discover its unique architecture, and enjoy authentic Greek flavors in the rustic tavern at the village square.

Day 4 – Hiking in the Heart of Thasos: From Panagia to Chryssi Ammoudia

• Exploring the Village of Panagia – A short tour through the picturesque alleys of this traditional village, known for its stone houses and bubbling fountains.

• Visit to the Sotirelis Olive Mill – Insight into the production process of Thasos' renowned olive oil, with a tasting of local products.

• Dragon Cave – Discover this mysterious rock formation in the mountains, which hides legends and impresses with its natural beauty.

• Panoramic Hiking Trail to Chryssi Ammoudia – A 12 km (~4-hour) route through diverse nature, offering breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding mountains.

Day 5 – Farewell to Thasos & Excursion to Philippi (UNESCO World Heritage Site) 🏛️

• Breakfast & Check-out – Departure from the accommodation and transfer to the port of Limenas.

• Ferry crossing to Keramoti – Enjoy the last view of Thasos.

• Guided tour of the archaeological site of Philippi & Krinides – Explore the ancient city, museum, and the impressive ancient theater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

• Baptistery of Lydia – Visit the sacred site where the first Christian woman in Europe was baptized by the Apostle Paul.

• Choice of activity depending on season and weather:

  • Healing mud bath or hydrotherapy at the Krinides mud bath, a natural spa with therapeutic properties.

  • Lunch at the mud bath area or in the Pangeo forest village, enjoying traditional delicacies in the midst of nature.

Day 6 – Exploration and Hike through the Angitis Gorge, Alistrati Cave, and Ancient Amphipolis

• Bus tour through historic sites with stops at:

  • Tower of Apollonia – A medieval fortification.

  • Lion of Amphipolis – An iconic marble monument of the ancient city of Amphipolis.

• Hiking through the Angitis Gorge – A unique 7 km (~4-hour) trail between Pangeo and the Menoikio mountain, featuring prehistoric rock carvings.

• Visit to the Alistrati Cave – One of the largest and most impressive caves in Europe, filled with spectacular stalactite formations.

• Choice of activity depending on season and weather:

  • "House of Tea" – Herbal tour and tasting of aromatic herbs from the region.

  • Archaeological site of Amphipolis – Guided tour of the museum and Kasta Hill (if accessible).

Day 7 – The Ancient Oisyme, Byzantine Castles, and Traditional Villages of Pangeo

• Ascent to Ancient Oisyme – A short hike to the ruins of the ancient city with panoramic views of Nea Peramos Bay.

• Guided tour of the Byzantine Castles of Anaktoroupolis.

• Free time for swimming at the famous sandy beaches of Ammolofi.

Day 8 – Departure and Farewell

• Breakfast & Check-out.

• Transfer to Thessaloniki (approx. 2 hours) or Kavala Airport (approx. 45 minutes).
